My birthday was a blast. Had about 30 people and the Canterbury for drinks. Not a bad turn out for a tuesday night. I'm thinking of having a legit party on the 10th at Searrle's best karaoke.
New year's eve kinda sucked. Lara and i slept in late, then headed to our friend's place on the hill. We had drinks till about 10, then went to the Low Fi, but soul night was retarded packed, so we walked downtown to watch the fireworks, then we took a cab back to aforementioned friend's house and tried to get some sleep. Unfortunately people were slowly trickling in all morning so we didn't sleep for shit.
We hopped in an escalade and went down to sea tac about 4 am and got on a flight to Vegas. When we got here we weren't able to get into our hotel room so we wandered the strip for 6 hours on no sleep. When we finally got our keys we passed out for hours. Woke up just in time to wander down to the MGM grand to see Circque du Soleil's KA. It was fucking intense. Best stage show I've ever seen by a longshot.
We wandered home afterwards and went to bed. Woke up this morning for breakfast. We went to the champagne buffet, where I had nothing but prime rib, roast duck and ice cream. Got a good buzz, then went and slept more.
Now we are at a booze kiosk at the Mandalay drinking Tom Collins and waiting to see Neil Diamond.
I've only been playing penny slots, and I'm only down about $50. Not too bad. Tonight we are going to take advantage of $1 margaritas at Bill's and try and get in on a strip poker game.
I want to get the $47 special, and lara said I could if it weren't for the HIV that it probably brings. Plus they al have dead eyes, so no real loss.
Anyone need any kitschy souvenires?

So it's been 6 months, I figure this is a good time to sit down and put together an entry.
First off, things are pretty good. My life has been rather sedate as of late, and thats how I like things.
Lara and I had our 2 year anniversary. She's awesome. I shouldn't have to tell any of you that, because me being with someone for TWO FUCKING YEARS should speak unto it's self.
Work is work.
My parents might be moving down to Portland. Mark is no longer with Sea Dog, and he's had a string of interviews for a GM position at another outdoorsy sort of supplier. It would suck to have them so far, but it's a good excuse to get out of the state.
Speaking of getting out of the state, Lara and I are going to be in Vegas in late December/Early January. We're planning on drinking a lot. Our airfare plus lodging was $130 bucks. Total. Fuck yeah.
Oh, and if you are unaware, I now live with Aleah, up in Lake City. It's about the same commute as the u district was, but it's not the fucking U district.
Anyways, thats the update. If you need to get ahold of me for any reason, and you don't have a way to do so, you probably suck.

Anyways, things have been busy. Not interesting, just busy. Odd how that works out.

New job's going pretty well. It's taking some time to learn all the little minutia, but it feels nice working for a place that doesn't feel like it's number one purpose is to milk its employees for every last bit of their soul then spit them out.
I've been spending a majority of my nights at home, mostly because I don't know how my finances are going to be at this new job (I'm making about two thirds what I was making), and secondly because I've (purposely) burned a lot of bridges with the people that I had been hanging out with. It really sucks to find out that the folks you spend the majority of your time with have fucked up moral perspectives. "Why is it okay for her to talk about sex, but it's not okay for us to talk about raping someone? All sex is the same."
I have to say that the best thing going on in my life has to be Lara. She's pretty much amazing n all ways. Her school/work/community service schedule is at it's absolute apex right now, so I maybe get to see her for 30 minutes a night (super duper lame), but it's by far the best 30 minutes of my day. Who thought that I would be able to have a stable relationship for 18 months? It's a total trip, and wonderfully fantastic.

I quit Cascade. 4 years right? Ugh.
I took a week off doing nothing. It was awesome.
I got a new job working for Specialtybottle.com as a client care rep. Word.
Lara's still awesome, and naked constantly. Sh just finished finals yesterday, so it's been the first real stress free day for the both of us in a long time.
Zya turned 5 last week. She can talk in a cognative fashion and calls me Joh Grande. Its cute, and only a little insulting.
I have the rest of this week off, and then the week after next off. Im pretty open, so do touch base.
The 30th is my birthday. I have no plans, but I've been tossing around maybe going to Smith for dinner and then somewhere on the hill for drinks later.

I put in my two weeks at my job today. I've been putting up with all sorts of bologna for years now, and the straw snapped the camel in half. So, I'm taking a few weeks off for the holiday season, but I am gonna need a job come the new year. I've got 4 years of administration/sales/management/customer service experience, so if any of you folks see anything, point me at it! Thanks!

tonsilitis: the return 2006 is over. it was a nice 4 day period of having golf ball sized nazis taking refuge in the back of my throat.
i was almost written up at work today for using my cell phone. geh. other people can watch fucking tv shows on their computer but i set my phone down and i get jumped on. i convinced my boss that i wasn't talking to anyone on it, and he decided not to suspend me for insubordination, but that it even came up sucks. i know im easily distracted, but i mean seriously, suspension on my first infraction in over a year that had no validation that there was even an infraction? he realized it was pretty silly too.
so tomorrow i don't work but i am broke because i broke down in the middle of best buy and bought a PS3 (retail price biatch). so instead of being a crazy bitch tonight im gonna finish the rest of my novella, read some sandman, then be joined by my succubus of a girlfriend. tomorrow we are playing scrabble in the afternoon. anyone so interested in such scrabble should make contact. there will be banana daqueris.
tomorrow eve i plan on getting some groceries and making dinner. gonna try and keep it sane this weekend. last saturday james came down and drug me out to the galway, and i ended up turning into drunkass 5000 in front of 90% of my friends. i put my big toe in skyler's ass. whew.
sunday's dnd with the homies, then evening football.

Don't you love it when one of your friends calls you randomly says they are coming over, then shows up with a friend, asks to stay the night? Then you agree because they are from out of town and don't want to have to make them find a motel, and its not amajor inconvience as long as they are quiet?
Then once you go to bed they gett trashed on malt liquor and are loud. You get up multiple times to tell themm to quiet down. After a few attempts to shut them up you hear their friend commenting about pissing all over the floor because its funny. So you gather youreself, and get up to regulate only to find them fucking their friend in your kitchen, said friend whom is not her boyfriend.
At this point you don't really care that its 4 am and raining out so you forcibly remove them from your house.
Does this make you a bad person or acting accordingly?
